We preach the Bible, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter through each book of the Bible. We seek to preach the word of God in its entirety, with a focus on how every scripture points either forward, or backward to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every sermon ends with a Gospel presentation and prayer through how to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We seek to layout the basics of biblical theology while maintaining language and ideas that kids from 6th grade to 12th grade can understand. We emphasize “believing in Jesus Christ means knowledge acted out in faith”.
We hang out together from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. talking, playing card games, etc. At 7:00 we start a big group game that lasts until about 7:45 where we start our lesson. We do a 35-minute sermon/interactive lesson with the youth group. This lesson is sometimes a different view based on the passage taught on Sunday, while at other times, it is a topical message on things like identity in Christ or how we can know God exists. After the lesson, The Outpost is open until 8:45 p.m..
